Nutrition forms the basis of our health and how we feel, which is why, as a business owner or a people manager, you may want to improve your employees’ wellbeing. Helping your team understand how nutrition can improve overall health, physical and mental performance, and productivity could boost your talent retention and pull. Our fun workshops will engage your workforce to understand complex subjects and provide them with a toolkit to make better choices without breaking the bank.

Workplace Nutrition and Why It’s Important

Workplace nutrition is becoming more and more important in today’s fast-paced and high-stress world. With long hours and tight deadlines, it can be difficult for employees to maintain a healthy diet, leading to poor health outcomes and decreased productivity. The British Dietetic Association reported that poor nutrition can lead to a 27% increase in sick days among UK employees. According to the Office for National Statistics, in the UK, an estimated 17.5 million working days are lost each year due to work-related ill health, including poor nutrition.

Employers can play a crucial role in promoting better workplace nutrition by offering education, resources and healthy food options. Managers, leaders and business owners can empower employees to make healthier choices by offering information and improved catering services. Encouraging physical activity during the workday, such as walking meetings or on-site fitness classes, can also improve overall health outcomes and boost productivity. Workplace nutrition is a key aspect of promoting a healthy and productive workforce.

Corporate Nutrition Programme

We offer a series of workshops for workplaces covering employee nutrition education, nutrition for management teams and nutrition resources and tools for employees. All sessions are tailored to specific business requirements. Here are three examples of subjects we cover:

Nutrition and Healthy Eating Basics

This part of the workshop will provide a brief introduction to the digestive system and energy balance. It will explain what a balanced diet is. It will also reference other key areas that can impact nutrition and overall wellbeing such as hydration, sleep and physical activity.

Eating Well at Work

We will start with the link between nutrition and productivity. This section will highlight key information about food labels, food processing and eating habits. The main focus will be on meal planning and top tips for adopting a healthier lifestyle while working. It will also provide some ideas on how to create healthy eating habits in the workplace.

Eating Well on a Budget

This element will include a practical guide on food choices, meal planning, preparation and storage. It will also offer solutions for reducing food waste and creating more sustainable eating patterns.

Workshops’ delivery mode

Workshops can be delivered virtually via Microsoft Teams (or other platforms) or face-to-face. Each session can be from mini-learning sessions of 45 minutes to an all-day interactive workshop. A series of workshops over the course of weeks or months can be bundled into your own Corporate Nutrition Programme.
